People are referring to the recovery in gold stocks since December, very few things have out performed them in that timeframe. Bank stocks are a solid long term punt though they do have the odd collapse eg gfc.
As for my holdings they are real. Gold specs is up almost 50% on my average buy more than offsetting what I lost on other specs last year. Nab I have an average buy around $24.50, they were obtained mostly in early august 2012.
