Gold over 2017 ... up 13%.

I'll start with a few words on gold. As of early Wednesday morning, gold is bid at $1,286. It feels like gold did nothing this year but actually gold is up $147.70 from one year ago today, posting a gain of 13 percent. How come it feels so much worse? Probably because not long ago gold was on the verge of taking out $1,400. Another year like this one and we will take out $1,400. Look at it this way - our "financial insurance policy" just increased over 13% this year. That is pretty good.  ...​
