The AUDUSD bit may be the saviour for the longer term gold stock holders. Unfortunately the yield play or carry trade potentials means it is stubbornly elevated and market structure is telling me that it will not roll over anytime soon. I loathe to short this pair although it is possible but limited rewards.
The other option is to hold on to quality low cost gold producers as a defensive play at the expense of the valuation growth. Interesting times ahead as well as dilemma of exposure.
