Russia, China and many many rational people in the world now know clearly that the USA and others are trying to draw Russia (and China) in to a large conflict.
Many may have expected Russia to respond with force after Turkey shot down the Russian military plane.
Russia has not and will not. Russia, China and others will protect their interests and will not be drawn in to conflict. They and many others will hold space for the USA and others so that they can witness their economic fall and transition to the East in a smooth way.
War would be the best outcome for the USA as it would be a good distraction from major domestic financial woes rather than face up to and the world to witness clearly what their decisions have created economically, politically and otherwise. Being the global leading currency reserve is a responsibility and requires honour and leadership not only self interest.
Russia putting economic sanctions on Turkey is calm, measured and steady and they have taken the moral high ground here.
