I read the article.I'm not trained in Economics: I do know that there are some very smart guys in this field who seriously disagree with each other.So,I do not have an'Economic' compass to follow.Markets,imo have a life of their own and our task is to make money from those Markets.In this game the only indicator of success is a rising Bank balance.Being( or thinking) one is 'right' even though the market says otherwise is nonsense.Similarly, using charts that show 10 or 20 years to 'prove' one is right is also nonsense.A time frame has to be tradeable ... that means days ,weeks and sometimes months for most market players.
Finally, it is very difficult to make money in non trending markets.As an example, imo Gold is not trending well enough ( in either direction) to get involved in a big way.
