It doesn't mean it won't happen going forward. It's a theory, and it's reasonably sound logic. You can't help the fact that markets don't always act rationally and in a timely manner. The other side of the argument, the mainstream finance and banking industry keep pushing, have a massive interest in the status quo. Therefore you get ridiculous official positions like "the US is going great" and people like Skol who have traditionally done ok following their advice and who can't think critically for themselves, will continue to just swallow it hook line and sinker. When really he should've learned his lesson in 2007. I do feel a little sorry for him, a lot of people think this way and will unfortunately get burned once again.
