It is often said here that the commodities futures market including gold and silver is subject to rigging. Reuters are today reporting that the US Commodities Futures Trading Commission are set to fine UBS, Deutsche Bank and HSBC for “spoofing”; placing orders with no intention to buy or sell but to move price to their advantage with fines of up to 10 million each.
