S&P500 in breakout as I stated. Up again .75% last night. The only way investor could outperform it would be to take on more risk selecting individual stocks, which doesn't work 95% of the time. A low cost SP500 like Vanguards will do the trick for people with a 20 plus year timeframe.
One could possible do better than the SP500 if they chose a low cost small cap US ETF and averaged in over a 30-40 year period.
History shows that if you're currently beating the broader market with gold stocks it will continue to work for you until it doesn't. Thinking you can beat the market is the curse of the investor. The average investor is better off putting their energies into working hard to earn more money so that they can invest it wisely.
But goldbugs don't like to hear that, as they think there's a big collapse coming and that the system is working against them. So they miss out on wealth in the long term stacking gold bars.
