Gold failed to live up to its safe haven status as a result of a tight and contested US election.
Gold stocks also failed miserably with HUI down 2.5% and GDXJ down over 3% .. so much for Gold being a safe haven.
The rising AUD meant Gold for in terms of AUD is down significantly.
