Only 2 non-Chinese banks have signed on thus far. This amounts to a Western hissy-fit of gigantic proportions, showing there is a real war on over control of gold. But China is the main buyer, so I think Western banks will lose out and some will come cap-in-hand to Shanghai eventually, despite Washington pressure.
