That's been predicted here for well over a decade and it hasn't happened. it must be furiously frustrating for goldbugs as other dividend-producing bets like property and stocks make people rich while goldbugs get poor.
And even if some tragic economic event occurred, what use would gold be? Zero.....no one needs gold when paying the mortgage or putting food on the table is the number one priority. My grandparents lost their house in the Great Depression...gold wouldn't have saved them.
