I personally know of at least one private landlord who was told by his tenant that they would not be paying the rent - only to then be told by the bank that he has too much equity in the property to qualify for any help - in other words his equity will now be used to service the loan instead of tenant - who now receives state aid and cant be evicted. Yep we are all Australians in this together - like f#$k we are! The bill for all this bullshit will be paid for by savers and the 'live for the moment brigade' are getting a free ride - again !
