    Well I wouldn't be so sure about Greece not leaving the EU at all. I take your point over they have very few options but Hungary has gone it alone and refused IMF loans and I cheer them for it.
    Lots of countries over the years have defaulted without world shattering events, many many countries.
    For the most part their position did not deteriorate and a lot of them are ok within a few years of the default.
    I think personally a default is the best way to go for Greece. Finance organisations will do business with afterward as they have done after all the defaults, it make take some time but the austerity the IMF and the ECB wants to force onto the Greek people probably isn't better than defaulting.

    So to default or not to default.
    Personally I think they should default.
    Perhaps make noises about borrowing of Russia, that would make people take notice.
