Just thought I would respond publicly before I did privately.
Thanks for your thoughts and great posts. Importantly, I agree with some, if not all of them particularly this most recent one.
However, I'm not sure now is the time and place for everything you raised.
Specifically, the renumeration issue.
My thoughts on this are largely dictated by the fact that the upside in negligible, but it has the potential to encourage ALL (including the most important), stakeholders to lose focus on possibly more important and immediate issues.
Additionally, say we did (and it's doubtful), give RM a haircut - to what end?
Say we had his wage dropped from $750,000 down to say $250,000. Great we save $500,000 but do we really need too? It might take several months to do IF successful and given the animosity and potential for a 'blue on blue' incident I see no real point.
There is NO real upside because by then, (or at the latest within a few months), we would know our position re production on San Jorge and possibly, even probably know our future at Isabel. Thus, we would effectively be in the same position we would have been post a 'more favourable' CoA outcome and most agree in that position his renumeration would be a mute point. Again the damage we could do to achieve this, in my opinion, it is NOT worth it.
Secondly is the SSP issue you raise. On this you have my support 100% full stop!
I think we NEED to go down this track as it will benefit ALL shareholder/stakeholders and ease the path moving forward. It is LONG overdue and I'm glad you, with the help of others, are prepared to address it.
Again, wages is a fight we DO NOT NEED to have, no good will come of it. SSP, you have my full support.
