I think it was watso who was saying about digging a hole for a number 2 whilst camping and why do we have chemical toilets -
I thought about that when I was pooing in the highlands - first one would have to dig through 2" of icy rocky stuff, then get down through more broken rock - and then do the business.
I thought to myself, sitting there in minus 9 ---------- what if one fell over backwards with a bare arse on this stuff -
one could quite possibly find oneself glued to the ground like a warm tongue on a frozen steel pole
a particularly fearsome thought for me at that time.
