It is interesting to note that no media outlet talks about the current budget of the ABC in $ figures.
No one makes reference to how the budget has increased over time and Governments.

Current budget as far as I can make out is over approx $1.02 trillion dollars increasing to $1.049 trillion in 2016-2017.
If a journalist was game enough to do a story on the history of increases to the ABC budget and % increases per year, he or she may not be a hero but we would have the figures.
All the journalist are referring to the cuts and not what total budget is as a reference.
e.g.
So does Mark Scott think the ABC is immune to cuts, while the Government is attempting to reduce costs.??
