Hawke could indeed drink like a fish without having to sleep it off on a bench in Parliament House during a division on crucial legislation - albeit he even went on the wagon to fulfil his promise to the Australian People, unlike Abbott who promised to go quietly before resuming his crusade to wreck the place.
Still, to the best of my knowledge Abbott wasn't reported to have been found like this :
