This was posted on another thread by HC and may offer some inside perspective on HC as an investment. I'll avoid based in part on what is below.
How much to build, maintain and improve a website like this one?
Technical staff are not cheap.
Run an accounts department, an advertising department, have a managing director, admin staff to look after the new member registrations (running at over 1,000 a week), liaise with management and other tasks, support staff, pay for legal expertise and advise, and defending claims against our members for defamation and the like. (That one can make your hair curl) Pay for importing the data, such as ASX announcements, news, prices, market caps etc. This is only scraping the surface.
If there is anything left over, the shareholders would like a return!
