How does one become what I assume is a fairly fully functioning adult and have their medical beliefs based on the warbled ramblings of semi nomadic hill tribes from several thousand years ago.
I imagine some sort of monty python skit...
The scene: A modern operating theatre with a moaning patient...blood gushing from a severed artery. A surgeon (John Cleese) fully scrubbed with gloved hands raised in the air ...furiously scanning through a bible as a nurse flips through the pages for him.
The patient's increasingly anguished cries as the surgeon wades through deutronomy or leviticus trying to find the appropriate passage before performing the procedure.
The spurts decrease and the patients cry taper as the surgeon and nurse squabble over the meaning of eaten blood.
