A large majority of Palestinians support Hamas. A large majority of Palestinians are muslim. Muslims follow the Koran, the Koran is not negotiable. Muslims want Jews to be annihilated. They regard Jews as sub humans.
The Germans have recanted from their "final solution" for sub humans, muslims have not.
As the President of Turkey said, "there is no moderate Islam". Muslims don't want a two state solution, they have said this loudly and clearly, "from the river to the sea". Muslims want victory not peace, they have said this clearly.
An independent Palestine would just be a base for the war to annihilate the Jews.
