I tune into this page on the odd occasion. For the most part it seemed to me that much of the discussion was about people trying to assert their pre-existing positions. [The old mantras at 10 paces game]
Speaking personally, I think none of us can know for absolutely certain what life is all about. Philosophy has been a lifelong primary interest for me [I come to trading merely as a matter of necessity] .... A genuine philosophical discussion is a rare thing indeed. It was once characterized for me by a friend in this way ... "when 2 philosophers meet, one sits and listens while the other speaks. Then, when the first has finished they sit and listen while the second speaks. Then each one gets up and they go their separate ways ... each knowing what the other thinks".
