Is it worth switching to something like IB or finance? Or is sticking with accounting still ok?
Also currently learning mandarin if that makes a difference ?

I would imagine Mandarin will make a big difference, Malaysia has a "second home program" which might be beneficial to you but again might only apply mainly to retirees. Google it.
