    If China made it illegal to sell encryption or other goods to Taiwan - and then arrested Australians on the basis their Australian business was selling encryption to Tawain. Then yes pretty damn sure Australia would be demanding their release.

    I know China agreed with the Iran sanctions, but enforcement of a bilateral agreement lies with them, not the US. I don't know why China doesn't launch charges against her and issue an extradition order of their own, which would surely take precedence. Figuring they didn't sign any agreement of the form 'US gets the exclusive right to be the judge of violations'. Very strange situation.

    That said, I don't know how the Chinese spokesperson kept a straight face, while talking about human rights violations and unfair treatment (not receiving adequate medical treatment). That almost tops Trumps speech about how he's done more than any government before him.
