Here is your predicament.
If you want to be carbon neutral you will have to buy a significant plot of land
with at least 250 mature trees. Given that these trees grow slowly, if you
plant them you will need to plant at least 1000 trees to be carbon neutral
by 2050 as per our Governments objective.
And how many acres would need?
IMO about 10 acres
