Have not read up on it in a while but Bio-Hydrogen could well be the fuel of the future, basically it turns waste into hydrogen. so win-win
From what I understand the process has been proven on a small scale but not yet at a commercial scale.
It could be a while before Bio-Hydrogen becomes a common source of energy, first you have multi national fossil fuel producers who have a vested interest and second if/when Bio-Hydrogen can be produced on a commercial scale you then need the infrastructure to distribute it ie refuelling station
How ever if/when Bio-Hydrogen can be produced on a commercial scale it could be used in the short term simply for power generation, unlike solar and wind Bio-Hydrogen could provide base load power like coal and gas
