ERG has ALREADY written down the value of it's holding in CARD.etc to zero - this was done in its 199mill writedowns.

The interesting thing about this article is that the Chairman of CARD.etc is saying that the company could be insolvent within three months unless it receives 18.2 mill to complete it's pending German contracts. Then it says that the Chariman recently resigned from "head" of ERG Germany to join rival Cubic, yet he still remains chairman of CARD.etc. What is going on here???

It is also good to see that this columnist is repeating the same old story about the Melbourne train and tram contract that we all know. Is that all these obviously well versed and researched columnists have to go on? Yet again, the same old story about the ticketing machines being faulty... YES vandalism usually has that effect... And how does the issue of security on railway stations, and the mentality of few idiots in our society who like to cause damage to ticketing machines, reflect on the ability for ERG to be a successful company?

It would be nice once in a while for an intelligent and unbiased reporter to actually give us something of substance with regards to ERG. For example, an article actually giving some appraisal to what is some cutting-edge technology in ERG's smart cards.

Keep your heads up ERG followers, in the end progress will prevail.
