If you have never owned a PPOR or IP what are your plans for retirement?
Renting is fine when you're young, unsettled in career and life however I have yet to meet someone retired and still renting (that's without the 100-200k off grid caravan and new model patrol or dmax to tow along the Bruce hwy during business hrs grrrr).
If you plan to rent untill you're say 85, what are you budgeting for rent being in 10-20 years time?
I would suggest it is too late for those over 65 as banks are a near no go for a mortgage at that age so how much a week are you all willing to pay rent?
