Easiest way to reduce carbon in the use of cement is to add shreds of bamboo or wood chips to some concrete blends, so carbon equivalent is captured neeutralising the carbon made from making regular cement. Too easy and would work cheap using common sense.
The future is regular solar and Clearvue PV Glass in Buildings, as well as adding some petrafied wood chips to concrete to neutralise carbon on the build.
