I'm also trying to do the same as I have Anz share investing (option 1 also). let me know how you go, but spoke to someone a few weeks ago and got a form to register international shares (but from another broker) so hoping at least to register them once i get issued the LSE stock, some how. just can't seem to get an official solution in advance.
back up plan I'll use a proper stock broker.
