The centralists want to punish Poland for restructuring its legal system, which was riddled with communist judges and laws.
They want to punish Hungary for refusing to accept Muslim invaders.
There is an implied threat to other countries who voice support for those challenging the supremacy of the EU.
They have tried to frustrate the democratic vote for Brexit in every covert & indirect way they can think of.
Now they are clearly interfering with the choice of the Italian people via their puppet suporter, the President.
