Years ago, the then Pope celebrated mass in Heaton Park in Manchester. The route crossed a railway tunnel and we had to build a bridge for the Popemobile to cross the tunnel. The floor is thick plate steel and, from memory the car weighed about 30 tonnes. The engine would drive a tank.
