Why do you say a LIC not have the same tax reporting issues? Is it because it is a company and doesn't have the same tax reporting requirements as a trust?
is the problem with a LIC though is that it is not as tax effective as an index trust as the LIC? A LIC would tax paying company so has to pay tax (which lower returns) while the index trust would not pay tax.
