I’ve always had the impression that the Integra products were rather susceptible to plastic deformation, and that’s why they had to be protected from compression. My understanding was that even body weight was potentially capable of causing the CCS scaffold’s internal structure to deform. Whereas in contrast, BTM was much more resistant to compression, contributing to more consistent real-world results. This tendency for CCS to be fairly easily compressed in “plastic” deformation, rather than ease of bending over a narrow rod, seems to me to be what ought to be the subject of measurement.
