I don't think that the developer of sunglass technology was looking at the human eye from an evolutionary perspective, thousands of years of eyes without sunglasses to "protect" them and then suddenly no UV spectrum, I can't say I am surprised but an interesting piece of research, thanks for sharing. What field of medicine do you practice?
Re. the point of closing shorts, yes I think its a good idea when we are too busy to manage our positions comfortably. There will always be other shorts to take on.
