So apparently, Netanyahu lied about Iran's uranium enrichment program.
Despite proof that Iran only had 20% enriched uranium, Netanyahu claimed they were close to building a nuclear weapon. This resulted in economic sanctions and significant tension in the region.
Seems like the only democracy in the Middle East serves no purpose but to destabilise. This is pretty shocking stuff. Not only does Israel go on a genocidal rampage through Gaza, killing women and children indiscriminately, it also stirs up global tensions and accuses other nations of actions which carry serious consequences.
And how many people read about Netanyahu's claim back then and proceeded to spread hate and express anger towards Iran. We need to hold leaders accountable for their actions [yes, before some smartarse (possibly Professor) replies with "and we need to hold Islamic terrorists accountable for their actions", yes I agree with that too, that's besides the point, but thanks for thinking of it].
The Mossad briefing about Iran’s nuclear programme in 2012 was in stark contrast to the alarmist tone set by Netanyahu, who has long presented the Iranian nuclear programme as an existential threat to Israel and a huge risk to world security. The Israeli prime minister told the UN: “By next spring, at most by next summer, at current enrichment rates, they will have finished the medium enrichment and move[d] on to the final stage. From there, it’s only a few months, possibly a few weeks before they get enough enriched uranium for the first bomb.”
