Domestic violence has been around since two people, of two totally different physical and mental

psyches have tried to live under the same roof. It's like Gods' little joke, trying to get two opposites,

to live harmoniously together.

We only know more about it since the advent of social media. Doubt that it has increased, it is more

frowned on now days, so is probably less prevalent than even 50 years ago.

NOT always the man that instigates it either, especially when it is 'mental/verbal' abuse, as well as physical.

We see more sharks in the water now, near our beaches, simply because they've always been there,

just nobody used to look as hard to find them as they do now. i.e. There aren't more sharks, we just "see" more.
