Or is it a secular country which has based it's laws, values, culture, morals, customs and traditions on christian philosophy for historical reasons?
As a christian living in Australia, what are your thoughts if non-christian laws, values, culture, morals, customs and traditions began to affect you in your daily life? Such as the need for women and girls to cover their head and travel with an adult male or face danger? Or your shop was forced to close for non-christian religious observance? Or you couldn't buy pork in your local area forcing you to have nothing and eggs for breakfast or travel to get it?
I ask because as a country, Australia has never had a discussion about who we and what we are. Life has always revolved around a christian heritage. But things are changing fast and not in the direction I think the majority of today would want to see it go. Who will we be in 50 years time?
