I'm just saying that when the un-employment figure is used as a gauge of economic strength , it is flawed.
"We" are anyone who falls under the mid-direction of the illusion of the so called low figure.
There are plenty of other groups who are simply no longer looking for work , or not registered as in unemployed. Nor are they claiming benefits. But they are also not providing to the revenue base of the taxation system .
What is the true gauge of economic activity? Personal income taxes.
I don't have a figure for you.
but think about this . For every person who qualifies to be on the official unemployed register and claiming benefits, How many others have given up looking and are ejected from the system, as well as the small business owners, sole traders, homeless, prisoners , seniors.
I might have a guess that there would be just as many , hence you could double the official figure etc.
