I feel like there are lots of stories in the papers about chucking in your job and buying a shack on a beach somewhere or buying a boat and heading off.
Not sure where the vibe is coming from. Maybe its the current feeling that our quality of life is being eroded and/or the work life balance is swinging the wrong way. Stagnant wages and increasing prices....or is it just winter in the southern states.
I think about it from time to time....just to sell up and go.
I suppose its a comfort to know that as we get older, the best strategy is to make Australian dollars and spend those dollars in a third world country, with a nice beach somewhere one day in the future.
I'm also thinking that I wont be able to afford retirement here in Oz. A pity in a way.
