My sympathy goes out to the QF snorks Rod.
But nobody will care around here, they are only interested in $$$s.
Unfortunately they don't factor into their investment maintenance on QF aircraft.
The general public have been lulled into a sense of security that planes fix themselves, and never crash.
As you and I know, aircraft need highly trained staff to keep them serviceable and flying.
Qantas used to be like a family, but sadly no more.
When QF are short of skilled staff in a few years, they will cry poor, and get staff on 457 visas.
I cannot advise anybody to even consider a career in aircraft engineering.
Management and bean counters have totally screwed the whole industry.
