Ravishankaray, I have no reasons to doubt that you'd pass the acid tests with flying colours; but that's not the issue.

IMO there are two major issues under the microscope:
    1. The extent to which we believe that Australia is a democratic nation which prides itself on its values; from mateship to equal treatment under the LAW.
    2. The extent to which there is an actual problem which is beyond existing policing to address.

IMO it is absolutely essential that our Police and security personnel address the behaviours that cause offence/risk. Pleas note that IMO that is very different from assuming such is embedded in certain groups of Australians and targeting those groups.

Australia is a multi-cultural society and in itself that presents additional challenges, but is also delivers some fantastic benefits. No-one has established the case that Australians are under siege or at great personal risk other than from drug-afflicted and poverty stricken individuals and the odd bikie gang / gambling goons / pimps and racketeers. Nor would the ill-conceived Border Force intervention do anything to address those problems.
