There is a conversation that was had many years ago but two blocks were in the road back then being, (1) BEGA had a 10% limit on its own equity and also had Fonterra as a foundation holder and (2) MG was a different company then under different stewardship and was more interested in WCB at the time.
Not sure MG would be takeover appealing right now given all the other activity going on around it.
