From a voting perspective with about 600 thousand NZ here, it may influence our outlook towards NZ!
The last election had Chinese and Asian population favouring voting for Albo manly because off the Coalition’s attitude towards mainland’s China. Family connection was the main driving force not human rights or the the sanctions by China on us etc.
We need to get the Electoral Commission to neutralise the voting preferences on the representative, simply based on ethnicity in the Electoral zone.
The other thing to consider is that NZ recognises dual citizenship …it suggests for some reasons why there is reluctance to apply for Aust citizenship, thus giving them the right to vote.
