Jacqui Lambie stands firm in party split with Clive Palmer, PUP

JACQUI Lambie says she won’t yield to “abusive threats” or “hurtful rumours” spread by Clive Palmer, and will no longer allow others to dictate how she votes in parliament.
Labor has seized on Senator Lambie’s rift with the Palmer United Party to obtain the crucial final vote it needs to demolish the government’s changes to the financial advice laws.
The Senate is debating a move to disallow the Future of Financial Advice regulations.
The opposition - bolstered by the Greens, Senator Lambie and fellow crossbenchers John Madigan, Nick Xenophon and Ricky Muir - appears to have the numbers.
Mr Palmer claimed Senator Lambie was untrustworthy and is refusing to allow her back into the party room until she promises to stop attacking him in public.
