What was the ground for the appeal if all "legal options had been exhausted?
They found a jacket in the desert after many years in perfect condition. No blood on it. No signs of having been dragged through the desert or being wripped off the baby. That was real "Evidence" for an appeal.
A third inquest was conducted in 1995, which resulted in an "open" finding. At a fourth inquest held on 12 June 2012, Coroner Elizabeth Morris delivered her findings that Azaria Chamberlain had been taken and killed by a dingo. After being released, Lindy Chamberlain was paid $1.3 million for false imprisonment and an amended death certificate was issued immediately.'
And what was the term of reference of the fourth inquest?
But it doesn't say much for our legal system that it took four inquests to finally prove, beyond any doubt, of Lindy Chamberlain's innocence.
Lindy Chamberlain was proven guilty beyond any doubt by judge and jury. Two subsequent appeals to THE HIGHEST COURTS of the land, backed the the jury.

Very commendable. Then you should be crying for the acquittal of every mother that goes with the same accusation. Have been a few in recent years. Do you find it difficult to believe they are guilty?
