Personally, I don't really care just now what happens to property, I'd probably benefit from a crash - I recently decided against buying another property for now so I sit happily on what I have, debt free and cashed up - cheap property would be a dream for me but a horrific nightmare for many many others(I wonder how many people you'd kill via suicide if you induced a crash?).

I do not want to see people suffer from this.... but the true culprits are the ones who inflate assets by easy credit....the interest rate manipulators. It is the banks who are very much responsible for the mess. It is probably OK for you and me, who bought our houses in more sensible times. I really feel sorry for the ones who bought in the last few years at inflated prices.
