the Arian heresy that Jesus was a creature and the Holy Ghost was just a force was a late 4 th century invention that caused much controversy. There were much earlier attacks on Christianity than that heretical belief.
The new teaching of the Arian heresy has prominence in some peoples minds because it was the false teaching that coincided closest post the edict of Milan and hence the reality that a council such as Niicaea could be formed.
There were much more earlier and insidious attacks on the teachings of Jesus Mr Gordon than that but I suppose the rump of Jehovah Witness beliefs can be first dated to the 4 th century AD although even then no one taught or believed Jesus was actually the angelic creature calked Michael
