Guys, Australia is in Asia, whether you like it or not, and our involvement in Asia is important.
China is our breadbasket, like it or not, and we shouldnt cut our own throats because the US and Japan are posturing against China territorially......
We snub China too many times, we'll be living on roadkill.

groundzero, I don't care if Keating is your favourite person or not, he is absolutely right IMO.
Fact is, it's a mind-numbingly stupid mistake.
what must China, the trading partner which saved us from the worst effects of the GFC, think of this decision?
Here we are, trying to tie up a free trade agreement with them, and this ass of a Federal Government
snubs them after Kerry has a word in the ear of the PM.
