All the perks of office are now rested in Albanese's office. Tony Burke's subordinate, Skye Laris, has been supported by Albanese before and is now his second in charge.
Labor used to be jobs for the boys like Setka, now the boys are getting divorced, seems to be 50:50 with the male politician's other half getting the nepotic gong. Puts a new complexion on affirmative action. Are they patsies and this 50:50 stuff a mirage?
Anyone for family values better join another party. Those against domestic violence join another party and be attacked and called 42 times in the one night?
Queensland October 2020 might have something to say about this? I wonder how the Palazszcuk- Trad routine is going to spin it?

From empty private jets to a family break in Sydney over Christmas: The latest taxpayer funded expenses scandals rocking Tony Burke and Christopher Pyne

    • Tony Burke spent $16,000 of taxpayers' money on luxury flights
    • He took the government’s Challenger on a three day trip around Australia
    • The jet even flew empty on some flights between Canberra and Hobart
    • The Labor frontbencher also spent over $225,000 on a trip to Europe
    • The overseas trip included first class flights with staffer who is partner
    • He criticised Speaker Bronwyn Bishop for her helicopter trip controversy

Labor frontbencher Tony Burke spent $16,000 using one of the prime minister's jets for three days in 2010, including empty flights when no passengers were on board.

The then environment minister had the RAAF Challenger travel empty to pick him up from Hobart, before taking him to Newcastle, Dubbo and then back to Sydney for a series of meetings,News Corpreports on Saturday.

It then returned empty to its base in Canberra, but Mr Burke's office said he had no option but to travel on the government jet because his meetings did not align with commercial flights.

Meanwhile, Education Minister Christopher Pyne is also making headlines for charging taxpayers more than $5000 to take his wife and two of his children to Sydney for a Christmas and New Year's holiday in 2009.

Australian politicians Christopher Pyne and Tony Burke face scrutiny over travel expenses charged taxpayers

Mr Pyne and his family flew business class from Adelaide for the six day trip, News Corp reported.

But Mr Pyne's office said the then shadow education minister held a planning day with the opposition leader Tony Abbott while in Sydney.

Yesterday Christopher Pyne and fellow federal MP Anthony Albanese both appeared on Channel Nine's Today show.

Usually political opponents, both Mr Pyne and Mr Albanese joined forces to defend the entitlements of politicians, including the use of taxpayers' money to pay for politicians' children to fly business class to Canberra to watch their parents in parliament.
