mussel powder has been produced in NZ since the 1970s, it's a low value commodity - there is significant value adding in this sector but only for those who have significant R&D / patents or significant market share in the raw material - take a look at Sanford's annual report, they're trying to get into this space, belatedly.
Mussel powder itself will never be $6 billion in sales.
